Independent Days

Independent study days include academic assignments from MLA classes, but for many of our students they offer an opportunity for outside sports or hobbies. From equestrian competition to tennis to swimming to kayaking, MLA has several top ranked athletes enrolled.

Focus courses

Focus classes allow students with specific interests to study with an expert one or two days per week. Aviation, art, creative writing, and animal science are a few of the specialized offerings at MLA. We even have a pilot or two.

internships

Any student with a specific interest can also apply for an internship. These experiences usually meet away from the school at local hospitals, veterinary clinics or other businesses.
